Day 359

#np - I'm Alright by Jo Dee Messina

I got to catch up with Juanita yesterday.  It's so wonderful to keep up with friends who have moved away.  After hearing about her recent move (in with her boyfriend) and the renovation of his house as well as her job search, she asked how I was feeling about my birthday.  Maybe it's because I tend to be a little dramatic about things but I think people expect me to stage a nutty or go on a crying jag.

Y'all!  Not the case.

Think about it.  In a eight days I'll turn 30 years old. How awesome is it that I've been on Earth that long?  I can only hope that I'm leaving the world better than when I arrived.  Karyn recently tweeted a link that got me thinking about my impact.  http://unicornsforsocialism.com/2012/05/01/27-ways-to-be-an-even-better-person-practically-levitate-with-awesomery/  It's a blog from someone I don't know but she/he wrote a post of 27 (because she's 27 years old) ways to be even more awesome. Already being awesome but wondering how to move on from this plateau and continue to positively impact the world in the process, I soaked in the list.  For the record, I excel at numbers 1, 3, 10, and 25.  I seriously need to work on numbers 11, 12, and 19.

But then I thought I needed my own list.  30 somethings to something or whatever.  So, my last week as a 29 year old is going to be spent thinking about this list.  When it's done, I'll post it.
